Yes he did, but anyone refusing to believe he is an elite WW is in denial. Hell, I'd still rank Fitch higher than Rory Mac. Fitch is battle tested. Rory isn't. Only true top 5er Rory faced defeated him (Condit).

Well totally nullifying Jake Ellenberger's game is very impressive and way he handled Carlos Condit for 1st and 2nd rounds is impressive, especially since he did it three years ago.
Jon Fitch is good, but last five fights with draw against BJ penn, KO'd by Johny Hendrix in 12 seconds, totally dominated by Demian Maia and choked unconscious by Josh Burkman isn't that impressive.
He is not above Rory McDonald.

Maia would do the same to Rory. Even Silva stayed off the ground with him. Invalid.

    Rory couldn't finish BJ either...

Hendricks is now the no 1 Contender and no 2 ranked WW IN THE WORLD...no shame losing to him.

The Burkman fight was Fitch getting caught. He made a bad call and paid for it. Plus, he has been fighting much longer than Rory and was a perennial number 2 WW in the world before Hendricks. Rory hasn't even reached number 2 status and couldn't finish a much smaller and tired BJ Penn or do anything significant to Ellenberger besides just Mayweather him. Sorry man, that makes no sense. Fitch has accomplished more and fought stiffer competition. Rory has not.....

Re: Rampage Jackson vs. Tito Ortiz on November 2

Both Rory and GSP have something in common that is reflective on both their careers and their current state as fighters - they both got CRACKED hard one time, then decided to never again take major risks. Rory fought a 155er in Diaz and Penn (He is the WW Jon Jones pretty much). At least GSP finished BJ by making him quit. Rory couldn't even break BJ's will.

Question of the day: Why did Rory never get a job other than fighting?

Answer: He couldn't submit/finish an APPLICATION!!!!

    AHHHH I'm killin me, lol.

That's why people like fighters like Hendo, Hardy, Page, Zombie, Barry, Velasquez, etc. They might get cracked, but they come ready for WAR. The Tri Star fighters seem to have no.....

Yes, but there's difference with not winning 4 of the 5 last fights. I doubt that Demian Maia could do same to Rory, I have not said it's a shame to lose to Johny Hendrix, Rory atleast won BJ Penn and even if you "just get caught" you still lose in a fair game.
Jon Fitch can be elite, but at the moment he is not above Rory MacDonald and everyone can see it.

They're at different points in their careers. Fitch is like 11-12 years older than Rory. We will see if Rory is still in good shape in that time. And I think Maia would grapple ---- Rory. He is huge and got Fitch down. Fitch has far better wrestling credentials than Rory does.

It is not important for rankings, that how much older he is. His latest performances have been unimpressive and because of that he is not above Rory MacDonald.
And wrestling credentials are small thing. They matter, but do not tell enough about wrestling ability for MMA.
Also Demian Maia didn't have to be afraid of Jon Fitch's striking when attacking, which makes huge difference. Against Rory he would have to.
Striking helps with wrestling and wrestling helps with striking.

Rory has not beaten ANY top 5s dude. NONE. So I cannot consider him on Fitch's level. Condit smashed Rory.

Maia would be afraid of what striking? Rory is a jab and takedowns.

Wrestling credentials are a HUGE thing. Look at Cain, Jon Jones, Coleman, Couture, Liddell, Faber, Mendes, Hendricks, Fitch, Brock Lesnar, Shane Carwin, Rashad Evans...Some of the most successful champs/fighters have a wrestling base.

Ortiz and Rampage, man... I never thought I would see these two fight again. And now against each other?
If they show up healthy this will be big for Bellator.
No idea how Rory got in here though...

-Yeah, but Rory showed that he was on Condit's level, or how else would've he dominated him for two rounds?

-I hope you are not serious.

-No they are not. There are many elite fighters with wrestling background, but they do not matter that much.
If your credentials meant that much Georges would never be able to take anyone down, and Maia couldn't take Chael or Fitch down.
And Chael should of ragdolled Michael Bisping, if credentials meant that much.
And if I have understood correctly, Jon Jones didn't have that special wrestling credentials compared to many fighters.

I don't understand that GIF. What is the function and what part it answers to?
Do you have some clearer to say?
